Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, Michael knows what "should" have happened (as does Walter, to some extent anyway) so perhaps after changing the course of Observer development they put some effort into making their timeline work out "right".

Timey-wimey handwaving, etc.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yeah, I figure that's probably what would have happened. that's a lot of work to do across two universes!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I was very worried that Peter was going to blink out of existence. I like -t's interpretation.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Yep. My take isn't that there are no Observers at all, but that they evolved differently enough to prevent the invasion.

I don't think the writers wanted to undo everything from the 1st four seasons. All of that happened as we saw it. There just wasn't an invasion.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Lost Girl: so they decided to make the season opener a tribute to "Women in Prison" exploitation flicks?

Art Crawl!!!

Aha! So that's what that was about.

NBC's JRM Dracula series has cast their Mina. She played Huntress in Arrow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I found it a remarkably clumsy tribute. Fine--the forced pregnancy fits with the heightened sexuality of the series, but murderous transexual makes my eyes roll, and never mind the individually tailored prison suits--more pointedly so than my previous front runner: Folsom Prison Blues, since they weren't just fitted, but styled differently from prisoner to prisoner, and well--why not red wedges once you've gone that far?

The floor scrubbing with the toothbrush was simple and organic by comparison.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I thought the Huntress actress was very pretty but also very flat. Not that I was looking forward to watching JRM getting Stokered.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, they prized pretty over having chops.

Well, the cast in the new Dracula will be very pretty.

Yeah not that this show isn't clumsy a lot. But this was worse than average. I don't really know why I watch - except that in spite of bitching a lot about it I enjoy it.
