Jen, yes to both of your whitefonts!
Dawn ,'Sleeper'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
well, he seemed to enjoy it....
TW 2.04:
OK, that scene, with the:
"...we could feed the world!"
"We could release a single."
***
"Do I show off?"
"Just a bit."
***
"This is quite homoerotic."
***
"Team meeting. You, too." (It was the finger-pointy delivery on that one...)
LOVED IT.
And, yeah, Jack flirting with Rhys's co-worker was a hoot .
Oh, and lest I seem heartless, poor tortured alien whale-thing. Geez. That was kind of horrific .
If they had only given us snarky gay Ianto and never given us HOLY CRAP IANTO KICKS ASS it would've been sufficient...
Dayenu!
Right??!?
I mean, "Pray they survive."
Yowza.
Also, just so the record is totally clear I CALLED RHYS FROM THE VERY FIRST EPISODE. MINE. MY TASTY BEEF. MINE. YUM.
(which sounds so incredibly wrong after this ep, now that I think of it.)
In news that is in no way related to tonight's or any other TW, Seven Habits of Highly Effective Spaceship Captains
(which sounds so incredibly wrong after this ep, now that I think of it.)
Ha-ha-ha-ha!! Yeah, dodgy word-choice. He was fan-freaking-tastic this ep. Love the Rhys. And I love that Gwen stood up for him and won him the reprieve from the retcon. I liked seeing her fight for him and their life together .
And I like that it probably means we'll get more Rhys .
This is why it's not safe for me to skim through at the end of thread. I was reading about the awesomeness of Torchwood, then I was reading about "Victor Garber sings!"
For just a moment before my brain translated, I was thinking, "This show has everything! I can't wait for that episode!"
I watched 2 episodes of TW tonight, and I know it's not really possible to get critical of the whole wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff, but in 2.03 how did Jack know what would happen to Tommy when they sent him back if they hadn't sent him back yet? Surely the whole "closing the rift" thing came afterwards...? Oh dear.
From next week, they seem to be showing the subesquent ep. on BBC3 immediately after the one on BBC2. Ep 2.06 would appear to be the first one with Martha !
