Just tryin' a little spicy talk.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

No shit. I think I won't tell Beau this because narratively it feels like they are fixing a problem. Well they certainly have a better actor.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

John Noble tweeted that they've started shooting the final episode of Fringe, and... "We still don't know how the series ends. Joel is keeping us in suspense til the very end. Nerve wracking."

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

FWIW, I really do enjoy Dark Matters on the Science Channel -- not just because John Noble as the narrator is so clearly enjoying himself, but the recreations of science history are decently put together and correctly talk about ethical investigations. They've covered the Tuskegee syphilis study, and the Stanford prison experiment, for instance.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One more thing about Teen Wolf fandom. Apparently there's some hubbub that this [link] was pretending to be the real MTV twitter, but...did anyone read the tweets? I must have gone back a month, and it consistently reads like a bouncing teen fangirl. Which I don't mean in a bad way, but why would anyone (especially experienced in fandom) think that's real, or even pretending to be real?

I'm confuse...does MTV really talk like:

OMG! Melissa Ponzio (Scotts mom) has a twitter and I'm just now noticing this?! Everyone follow @MelissaPonzio1!!

@IanBohen you didn't answer any of my questions...and I really wanted a poster :(

Yoinks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you're seeing anything racial in TVD, you're going too far.

Or, ya know, I was told by someone on a site less civil than this one. Serves me right.

It was interesting to see my argument turned back on me (Everyone dies in this show!), but I still believe it's a very different life expectancy scenario than Supernatural. TVD has a core cluster of people who are still in the story, but Bonnie's often shipped out to another town, or crying herself to sleep because magic reasons.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Everybody dies except the large chunk of people who will not under any circumstances die (at least not permanently), Many of whom I would love to get rid of, personally.

It seems so obvious to me that all the black characters except Bonnie (and maybe Bonnie's mother's adopted-ish son, I forget what happened to him, he might have just left Mystic Falls like a sane person) get killed off, and quickly. I don't understand how other people don't see it.

I am still hoping that Bonnie's father who hates magic might survive and be interesting, but that is a weak hope and would only be a small gesture at this point, even if it happens.
