Once Upon a Time: I'm annoyed by the dramatic pauses before revealing something that readers have likely already figured out. Were we supposed to not know that that was Smee? Were we supposed to be shocked that Captain Hook would be heading to Neverland?
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
More basically: How does anything in that episode connect with anything else in the series?
The series has jumped off the track a bit in the second season in general. I think they misplaced their "character history" manual for a bit.
Fred, I stopped asking that question of this show a long time ago. It seemed only to be connected in that Hook and Regina's mom are now headed to Storybrook. And they didn't show Emma and Snow at all, do you think the writers figured out they're not all that interesting?

Yeah, but as a whole I am liking it a lot better than last season.
sj,
why is that? I am liking it less but maybe your response will inspire me.
Wrong thread
le nubian: I think it is the less Emma and the fact that we're finally past the whole storyline of her seeing evidence of the fairytale world every week and not believing it. I also like Charming a lot better this season, especially when he is hanging out with Henry. Plus the lack of Charming and Snow's will they or won't they storyline.
That may be it. Hubs got hooked on this one about a week before the new season started. So all I saw of the first season was the hour-long recap before this season's premiere. Looked like an interesting premise, but it also looks like the writers don't know what to do now after that premise is resolved.
Like in this last episode. Snow, Emma, Mulan all disappear for no apparent reason. And we suddenly bring in the cast of Peter Pan, again for no apparent reason.
Now, if we get a hot, steamy make-out scene between Charming and Hook....
Is this where The Walking Dead convos would be?
Anyone else watching?
