Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Compassionately intolerant

I rewatched the latest Moonlight and liked it a bit better the second time. What I would love for them to realize though is that 'sexy vampire jumpy thing' not really so sexy in practice. If they just assumed the flying, ala Angel, it would be so much cooler.

And I agree that Dohring looks way, way cree pee-er in vamp make up than the others. I can see him being all method and begging the makeup team for more!morerot!

eta: They aren't doing so well with guest stars, sadly. Eduardo Bellerini (the plastic quack) was so loathe worthy in Romeo Must Die but in this role, he was just squinty. Too bad.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Point of clarification, please.... this Logan character of which you speak -- since Juliebird used the "VM" reference, are you referring to Veronica Mars, maybe? I never watched that show.

I just like Josef's sense of humor. He seems to have fun whilst being a vampire, rather than brooding about it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yep.

You guys, remember the hilarious "BSG in 8 Minutes" recap video? The same people are recapping each episode!! Frakking hilarious.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

He was splendid in VM. Man, I adored Season 1 of VM beyond all power to express it. Cracking cast. Some splendid writing and awesome twisty turny things. Season 2 I also enjoyed, although not as much as Season 1. Season 3...I've not seen yet. Um.

But, man, JD did some excellent work on that show. (Yes, yes, okay, roundhouse kicks to Fay's kinks, blah blah blah - dear lord, Logan was the woobiest woobie that ever woobed.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Logan was the woobiest woobie that ever woobed.

I do love a good psychotic jackass.

S3 of VM is pretty much "ptui! let us not speak of it again" for me. Roundhouse kicks to my anger buttons, so to speak.

I don't watch Moonlight, but what little I've seen has not impressed in in terms of JD. The turning bit was hot, I will give you that.

Are we talking "Being Human" in here? Anybody else read the pilot recap with screencaps on LJ? I heard it's been picked up (I may have heard that here, can't remember).

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I would just like to mention that the Fear Forecasts for Dr. Who on the BBC website are still AWESOME.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Got this in my internal press email this morning:

BBC today announced that for the first time BBC AMERICA programming will be available for purchase and download from the iTunes Store in the U.S. (www.itunes.com).

Yay!
