Got this in my internal press email this morning:
BBC today announced that for the first time BBC AMERICA programming will be available for purchase and download from the iTunes Store in the U.S. (www.itunes.com).
Yay!

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

WTF? [link]
that commercial you've been seeing about an "all new television series" dubbed Scarlet isn't a new show at all; rather, it's a risky move by LG to push its Scarlet LCD HDTVs.
I'm confused.
Oh, dear dog. What inanity.
I spent (probably way too much) time yesterday trying to figure out that silly Scarlet stuff, but it just ended up pissing me off. I think this little marketing trick is going to backfire. People don't like being made to feel stupid.
I already have a big LG flatscreen, so there's nothing I can do.
The...hell??
That explains why none of us had ever heard of it.
I don't get it either. I would've watched at least the first episode of the show, but I have no plans to buy a new TV, especially not a fancy flatscreen. My current cheapo set works just fine.
What's next? Deodorant ads disguised as car commercials?
Folks, just because there's no Scarlet in production now doesn't mean there won't be one in a year or two when development season rolls around. That horrible Caveman sitcom started as a bunch of idiotic Geico ads.
