"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Eureka:

The actor who played Allison's brother in this week's episode is her real life husband. I remember him when he was on All My Children.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Korra: Lin Bei Fong? Complete bad ass! And I totally teared up when General Iroh came on the scene. As much as I'm enjoying Korra (and I really am), I wonder why they didn't just do this Amon storyline with the original crew as adults. I find that I get the most satisfaction from the series when I see or hear about those characters, and other than Lin (who I will reiterate is a COMPLETE BAD ASS), I'm not really feeling any of the Korra crew like I did our original heroes. Maybe that will change, but I find myself wishing we were seeing this story with them instead.

Glamcookie: I suspect that it would be hard to have so much social/technological change happen within the young lifetime of the ATLA cast, and possibly because the writers felt they'd told enough of their story?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, I really like the new crew. I love Korra, and Bolin is great, and Tenzin is interesting, and Asami is hot (and a badass non-bender [but also hot]). And the kids rule. The only character I'm not really into as much is Mako.

I'm pretty meh on Korra herself (but I was pretty meh on Aang most of the time, too). I am really liking Tenzin. Asami is very hot and I love the look of Republic City. But Mako is no Zuko, Bolin is no Sokka, and there is no equivalent to Katara.

I'm trying to remember how I felt about the characters at the end of Season 1 of ATLA, and I know I loved Zuko and Uncle by then, but maybe not so much anyone else. I'm hoping this crew will grow on me in time. I'm just missing the old and find that this world has enough of the old to make me miss it more, you know? It might almost have been better to take the old out completely - I don't know.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

so i just made a friend who has very similar tv tastes as me watch Life on Mars. he said and i quote, "Life on Mars was good. Not great, but good. Don't know if I would have stuck with it if I were watching it on TV, just like the remake.

Sam was too much of a righteous dick. Gene was great, but I don't know if he would have been enough to keep me around."

basically, i had to restrain myself from saying whaaaaaaaaaaaaa? i told him i'm going to have to rewatch because it's been so long since i watched. i don't ever remember seeing anyone say Sam was a righteous dick though. i'm kind of baffled!

Teen Wolf: Does anyone know who played the guidance counselor? She looked familiar.

Bianca Lawson, known in these parts as Kendra the Vampire Slayer. No, she hasn't aged a day since 1997.

Hangs my head in shame for not recognizing her. I was thinking, why is the guidance counselor a teenager herself.

It's probably harder to make the connection without the Rastafarian Leprechaun accent.
