I'm pretty meh on Korra herself (but I was pretty meh on Aang most of the time, too). I am really liking Tenzin. Asami is very hot and I love the look of Republic City. But Mako is no Zuko, Bolin is no Sokka, and there is no equivalent to Katara.
I'm trying to remember how I felt about the characters at the end of Season 1 of ATLA, and I know I loved Zuko and Uncle by then, but maybe not so much anyone else. I'm hoping this crew will grow on me in time. I'm just missing the old and find that this world has enough of the old to make me miss it more, you know? It might almost have been better to take the old out completely - I don't know.

so i just made a friend who has very similar tv tastes as me watch Life on Mars. he said and i quote, "Life on Mars was good. Not great, but good. Don't know if I would have stuck with it if I were watching it on TV, just like the remake.

basically, i had to restrain myself from saying whaaaaaaaaaaaaa? i told him i'm going to have to rewatch because it's been so long since i watched. i don't ever remember seeing anyone say Sam was a righteous dick though. i'm kind of baffled!

Since it's been off rotation on Hulu, I haven't seen it in a while. Soooo. I'm squeeing over the dvds.
I fell into watching SG-1 because Theodosia stayed with me one weekend and had to see the current episode, which was some season 6 thing with Jaffa and Tok'ra. It was entirely impenetrable to me, but somehow that got me interested (possibly Jack O'Neill was hot) and I started watching the SciFi reruns.
