But if the world doesn't end, I'm gonna need a note.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

A conversation in the "Torchwood" (US) thread on TWOP has just made me realize that I probably saw Naoko Mori and John Barrowman in "Miss Saigon" in 1992.

Huh.

Where was the show you saw, victor? I think that's around the time that I saw Miss Saigon too.

London's West End, but I don't recall the exact theater. It was still a brand-new show, though.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I saw that show in 1994 or thereabouts. I probably saw them as well.

Ah, OK. I saw it in Boston, 92 or 93 or thereabouts.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I saw it in London in December 1995... how long was their run? Were they the stars?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Huh, so the opener of this season's Doctor Who is "Revenge of the Shmoo"?

Or, for you Sealab 2021 fans out there, "Who Squishface!"

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

OMG!!!! They're going to remake Blakes 7? That's FABULOUS!

...except where, OMG, it's probably going to be shit. Oh no! Please don't be shit! Please be good! I mean, Sky...and, and...oh, please be good! Even though it's cheesy 70s space opera, there's so much about Blakes 7 that's awesome (although its apostrophe lack isn't one of those things), and it gave me My Very First Moment of Heartbreaking Minear-esque Fannish HSQ with the end of the series, when I was, er 8 years old, and I was just gutted that it ended (and ended thus). And of course in later years one can rewatch it and enjoy the fact that they spent their shoestring budget on bondage gear and fabulous evening gowns, and that they're a ragtag bunch of bickerers, and that they lose their idealistic Robin Hood figure pretty early doors and that Avon is the most magnificently camp badass geek antihero in the history of slash, and that people shag, and it's all grey areas and moral dubiousness rather than black hats and white hats, and and and oh please don't let it suck!!!

Ha! OK, Tigh doing diaper duty was awesome.
