Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Perhaps they could express their feelings on the matter in gestures?

I just realized that alt!Astrid is Hannelore from Questionable Content, minus the bodily fluid squeamishness.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hm, I'll have to think about that.

Broyles, man. It's rough being Broyles in any universe, I guess.

Honestly, I would have been a lot happier if he'd turned out to be shapeshifter. Even if it meant both of "their" Broyles had died. This way was just sad, and no good way out.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Lost Girl: Dyson is a match for Bo in foolishness. He made the deal with the Norn without specifying what he was trading? Not saying it would have done him any good - Norn probably would not have accepted anything but his "passion for Bo". But he did not even try to be specific. Also in the kiss between Lauren and Bo, Lauren radiated a hell of lot more heat than Bo.

Grimm: If Nick wanted to explain things to his girl friend, why not have Monroe wolf out, and leap to heights humans can't, lift things humans can't. Plus get testimony from Monroe and Monroe's girlfriend. Three people with the same story makes the obvious insanity explanation less self-evident. And if Nick is telling her he can see things she can't and then presents supporting testimony and evidence even if not proof, there is at least a chance she might believe him. I wonder what story Monroe, Nick and Girlfriend are going to tell Hank.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

why not have Monroe wolf out

But ordinary humans can't see the Wesen in their true form. Only Grimms can. That's kinda the point of the show, right?

I still want them to show us what Grimms look like to the Wesen.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Not finding out til now that Grimm-blood does nasty things to Wesen qualifies as a "don't-cross-the-streams" oversight. Especially because there's a couple of Wesen he's killed that could have been neutralized non-lethally.

But he doesn't know anything about his abilities, except what he's read in his aunt's books, and he surely hasn't sat down and read them all yet.

You missed the second half of that sentence "and leap to heights humans can't, lift things humans can't"

Monroe might not look "wolfy' to the girlfriend, but he still would be leaping from the ground to the roof, or maybe lifting a Volkswagon (not sure he is THAT strong) and in general performing feats of strength. We've been given no reason to think humans can't see feats of strength even if the Weisen form looks human to them.
