Does Fringe aim to fold all its different universes into one?
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Does Fringe aim to fold all its different universes into one?
I certainly hope not. I think Alt-Livia is just as interesting as original flavor Olivia (if not as sympathetic), and the whole structure of the B universe is fascinating. Also, it's a universe in which Charlie Francis is still alive!

I don't think so.

And with Prime Suspect gone he might be available again.
Since the new memories were "written back" to the point of Peter dying, one could make a case that Olivia and everyone else in this universe have only remembered it different.
I'm also interested in seeing one of those XKCD timeline things on the Fringeverse.
Being Human 4.3 - Not only have they created a new evil vampire, they have created a new evil vampire who will make her victims listen to her bad poetry before they die. True horror comedy. OK, Douglas Adams got there first with the Vogons, but no shame in being 2nd to Douglas Adams (who should have lived longer).
Do we still have anything like a tape tree, a DVD tree, for sharing episodes we can't get otherwise? I ask because I'm about to throw out a bunch of videotapes with old TV shows on them, and some of them have never officially come out on DVD. My videotapes are too degraded to be worth making DVDs from, but it annoys me that I can't have these shows to watch anymore.
Okay, Fringe just got WEIRD.
The original cold open is one of my favorites, so it was pretty sweet to revisit it and, apparently, turn it into a major storyline featuring FLYING PORCUPINE HYBRIDS.
I don't understand how the timelines/universes are working anymore. They deliberately threw in a ton of things that are verifiably different—not just different in people's memories—about this world without Peter, so if this was always the Blueverse, then...how is it supposed to be his home? Olivia's memories aren't going to gel with anyone else's. I don't even know anymore.
But, mostly, DAVID ROBERT JONES HAS A ZOO OF DEATH.

And as I'm sure had been pointed out already - David Bowie's real name. I expect Lane Price...err Jared Harris would be amused.
But yes - this was a packed episode. I'm just glad they didn't kill our (?) Lincoln (or transfmorgrifry him). I LOVED that Walter had it under control in his inimitable way.
I thought it was more that David Robert Jones has an Ark... but Zoo of Death works too.
I'm glad Olivia is feeling the pain of giving up her original memories for the love of Peter. I mean, I don't know that she really has a choice, but I'm glad the writers aren't just letting that be all neat now that she made her decision. Not that I want her unhappy. I heart her! And I loved Peter and Lincoln in the car. And Lincoln and Walter lab scenes. Much to love in this twisted, awesome show.
