You should definitely watch all of Avatar first.

Thanks for the input into S2 of Walking Dead -- sorry I had to post and run. I have more stuff on my TiVo than I have time to watch, and some of the comments I heard elsewhere made it sound like S2 was terrible, hence my query. I'll save it for a free weekend and give the first few eps a go, with a finger on the FF button.

finger on the FF button is key. You probably could get through the eps in 20 minutes. Especially given the commercial breaks.
