Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

'War Stories'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm sure it's been written.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I really miss Jack O'Neill. By which I mean, not the pod!Jack we got in the last few seasons, but Jack seasons 2-7, who was snarky and competent and NOT DUMB and not promoted out of his comfort zone. Who made the hard decisions but was also the one to implement them, and who cared way more about his team (all of them!) than he was supposed to, and who would spit in Ba'al's eye every chance he got.

Which reminds me: if you're in the mood for Jack O'Neill, Walked Right Out of the Machinery gives awesome Jack. And everyone else, too. It's long and wonderful. And gen.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That Jack? That Jack's my all time numero uno top dog best TV character boyfriend ever.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Anyone watching Reaper? "You bring the Devil, I'll bring the pain" and of course, "the number of the beast"

DVRd, but I haven't caught it yet.

Art Crawl!!!

Wasn't that a fun episode of Reaper?

I loved the circle of Mustard. And that the devil set them up in the apartment with the beers of the world club, etc.

Yikes. . . over at TWOP somebody (in the Reaper HoYay thread) suggested God/Devl.

SJA: Fansite that lists scenes cut from SJA. Well, it's not like they cut an explanation of what happened to Kelsey or something.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

It's practically cannon. I mean, it TOTALLY sounded like a bad breakup. Hell hath no fury, yo.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've been trying to get my sister to watch the new Doctor Who eps, but she's such a loyalist to the old Doctor Who style that she won't really give it a try. As a result, she also avoided the first season of Torchwood.

Well, the fact that they brought in James Marsters was enough for my Buffy-loving BIL and sis to tune in to the first ep of TW S2, and they've stuck around for the entire season, really liking it. We discussed the finale last night--Owen's death wasn't a surprise to her, but Tosh's was. She couldn't believe that they offed two main characters at once.

I'm going to ship out my tapes of S1 and the Capt. Jack eps of DW S1, to see if they'll get sucked into DW as well. After "Blink" was first shown, I called and ordered them to watch it that night (they're two hours behind me), and they both loved it in its SF fabulosity.
