A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Lost Girl: Kenzie sure saves Bo's ass a lot. Also Bo's face had a wider range of facial expressions, this episode. She added sad face and betrayed face and determined face. The improvement promised is beginning.
Also, one thing I realized is being done very well. The way I know Trick is a badass is not anything he does, but the way everybody reacts to him If he tells fae what to do mostly they jump and do it. Or if they push back you can tell they feel they are being pretty badass themselves for not taking orders. Even the Morrigan and the Ash kind of backed down a tiny bit from him in the first episode. Well done, director - one thing you genuinely are showing, not telling.
That's why Kenzie can never be a Rygel for me. She's truly useful. And she's sweet. Even though she causes her share of problems, she solves more than that, and is consistently supportive.
I feel bad for Bo now, but not really because of her acting. The Doctor did a good job, as kind of did the werewolf (I'm still not clear on his position, but I'm totally clear on hers) of isolating her.
Ben Browder is going to be on
Doctor Who
! Let's hope he gets more to do than he did on
Chuck.
(Thanks to tiggy for the news! I would provide a link, but it gives more information about the episode, so it's probably in the spoiler thread.)
Oh, awesome! Did I know that? I don't think I knew that!
I already posted in Spoilers Lite.
I went right over and clicked the link. So excited, especially given Ben Browder in that episode context.
I did the same thing, and totally agree.
Well a chance, not neccesarily all the way there. At some point I presume her acting will get good enough that she sells you on feeling sorry for her (or whatever) directly.
I've now seen the pilot of Awake. We don't which is real, or if either is real, or both, or neither. And given the way it is set up, they can keep that unknown through the whole series if they choose. (Not saying whether it would be a good choice - but nothing in the setup prevents that.)
