'War Stories'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Ah. I was just looking at my BBC Two listings.
Now, to delicately break it to DH.
Also, I love how people a continent away can tell me my tv schedule. Bless the interwebs.
Torchwood, 2.05:
Okay, two minutes in, and I am CREEPED THE HELL OUT.
Torchwood 2.06:
WHAT? WHAT?
Well. Guess I'm not going to bed as early as I thought I was.
Torchwood 2.06:
I echo Dana's WHAT??!??!
I also don't believe we're really losing Owen. But I have a history of not believing things what I don't want to believe no matter what. Fortunately, sometimes in sci-fi, I win.
And I should have suspected, what with all the decenting him up lately. And the scene with Tosh and the date.
Torchwood 2.05:
I feel bleargh. That was really creepy and horrible. I mean, the ep was good, but, ick. The scene when Gwen comes home and doesn't recognize Rhys right up through their taking her back to Torchwood was really well done and intense.
I thought the guest actor was really good. Again.
Ianto broke my heart. Oh, that boy is a good actor.
Was I alone in thinking that Adam was Gray? Because I thought it for quite a while.
God, I'm just all about the spoiling. Spoil spoil spoil! Gah! Want Torchwood!

TW 2.06: Yeah, I don't think killing Owen is for keeps, at all. But I'm willing to be surprised.
Torchwood 2.05:
Actually, I was rather disappointed by this episode. I thought it was thisclose to being very good indead, but didn't quite make it. Perhaps it needed some more about Adam's raison d'etre, or something. Plus the Ianto bits were so painful that I could barely watch, and the Jack bits bored me rigid (I know they weren't supposed to, but...). There were some lovely touches, though, like the couple of Adam scenes sneaked into the trailer, and the acting was superb, as ever .
It reminded me a lot of that Next Generation episode where they've had their minds wiped and one alien has sneaked aboard and pretends to be a crew member. Anyone else remember that one?
I only watched the first ten minutes of TW 2.06 before crashing out. I probably won't get to it until Friday, as Ashes to Ashes is on again tonight.
