Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Her name is Lisa Berry, and it seems she gets a lot of work north of the border. I'll have to see what of that is worth watching.

Oh, so pretty.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

She's the reporter that Alex sets up to ask pointed questions on Nikita.

Yeah Lisa Berry would make a good succubus. Also, the Jillifont feeds on pheromones ? Really? Look, you are a fantasy show. Stick with fantasy explanations. Just say the Jillifont feeds on anger, hate, fear and pain. Neither have a lot of calories, but I can accept within the story emotions providing some mystical energy a lot more easily than I can accept a handsized Jillifont being able to live on airborne pheromones.

Art Crawl!!!

Hmm, I somehow missed them saying pheromones. Weird - I totally thought it was anger and that's why everyone got mad at each and did the murder suicide thing.

There's a scientist with a prominent role in the show, and this is what tips the scales?

Hey, did not say it was a rational reaction. Besides dealing with magic scientifically or even assuming that magic represents an alternate/unknown set of scientific laws is not the same as bad conventional science. And too small to "tip the scales". Just gave me a wtf moment, which this show is not short on.

Alcatraz: looks like they're just going to play the episode that would have been last night next Monday instead.

I have a recent Alcatraz on my TiVo. I haven't checked to see which ep, though...

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Oooh, Walking Dead tonight is FUN!

I am getting *really* annoyed with the gender role stereotyping on the show.
