It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had not watched the Librarian movies before today, so I had not realised how much Warehouse 13 was the government version of this premise, with some of the very same angst, even. Bigger budget, tho.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Has anyone else seen the pilot for Awake? Do we think this is the thread for it?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

OUAT: Most of the characters have some fundamental continuity between their fairy tale character and their Storybrooke character. They make me believe that they are the same person. The two exceptions: Snow While and even more Prince Charming. Not the acting. But the characters as written.

I can see a real argument for my being wrong on Mary Margret/Snow White. Snow White in fairly tale land was not always strong and Mary Margret shows occasional signs of kickass.

But Prince Charming in our world shows a wide streak of weasel I saw no signs of in the fairy tale world.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

aurelia,

yes, I think this is the thread for it because I am convinced that the original Awake concept was one of timelines even though the pilot emphasizes drama.

I think the timeline concept would have been much more interesting, but I like genre tv. I can see why NBC couldn't have pulled that off.

In any event, I have seen the pilot. I have no idea how they will sustain this premise past one season.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I kind of love that the opening act is essentially the promo for the show (and the tone of the promo is sort of what hooked me, so I'm glad that wasn't just the illusion created by promo editors.)

Art Crawl!!!

Haven't watched the Awake pilot. (yet)

Yeah, why is Prince Charming such a weasel? That's what I want to know.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Finished Awake (thank you, Hulu!) and loved it. Then I got sad because it reminded a little of NBC's other show, Life.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, really? I liked Life so much. I've been debating watching Awake - I like the main actor but the premise is one I could either love or hate.

Yeah, why is Prince Charming such a weasel? That's what I want to know.

He was raised to be charming, not sincere. </Into the Woods>
