A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My theory is that this Nina is a shape-shifter, just like the alterna-Broyles. Or maybe they're not, but in cahoots together.

I caught some of the Chuck finale, and thought it went off in great style and love for the characters. And yeah, what -t said: the endings were really beginnings.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought the Chuck finale was pretty sweet. I'm not emotionally responsive to most of the characters, but I thought they were all treated very well.

*However* Sarah's footwear made me irrationally mad. When she poked her foot out of the bag wearing those incredibly impractical heels, it changed her outfit from badass superhero costume to fetishwear. Which is all and good, but it has its place, which is not killing Quinn. By the team she'd fallen out of the plane and was walking on the beach, though, she was in more practical shoes. And for some reason that was more irritating, that they accepted her shoes wouldn't work for the scenes, but it was more important to have closeups in them anyway.

Hmmph.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Agreed! And when they went to break into "DARPA" She was in stiletto heels, but when she was inside beating up the five guards her boots had magically changed to flats.

And it's not just stilettos, but platform stilettos, which is a whole new level of precarious. Obviously Yvonne walks really well in them (and no doubt Paula Abdul could dance up a storm in them), but their tacit admission by re-shoing her before action scenes without allowing for the character do have done so---damn, people, you think she wouldn't have seen sexy in this silhouette?

It just seems like such a low opinion/high bar. Even Kate's shoes in Castle make more sense.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That seems like a really rational objection.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I can buy Buffy or Vampirella fighting in spine-endangering heels since they both have super powers, but not so much just a well-trained agent.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

has to be. No real person with any real emotions would not have crumbled at Olivia's heartfelt confiding in you that you are her real mother and how much pain she is in from the migraines.

I mean really. What kind of monster would Nina have to be? She keeps the lotion in the basket.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I love that Olivia Dunham (every version) always wears shoes that are appropriate for action.

My theory is that this Nina is a shape-shifter, just like the alterna-Broyles. Or maybe they're not, but in cahoots together.

I think Nina is the boss. Jones seemed almost nervous when he was reporting to her. I do kind of wonder if this Nina is actually from the (amber timeline) red-verse and blue-verse Nina is locked up somewhere.

I just hate it when action-y women are put into heels. It's ridiculous. When the Leverage people started putting Parker in heels, I was so disappointed.

Suddenly all of my sidebar ads in other tabs are for boots akin to ita's last link.
