And really pray that the alter-Broyles is a shapeshifter because I couldn't bear him being a bad guy in any universe.
That has to be it! I hope.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

He must be a shape-shifter. I am almost positive.
I do have to declaim on the absolute waste of Ben Browder
Indeed. Even though I saw his name in the credits, I didn't recognize him at all. He's... uhhh... filled out a bit. It wasn't until a few hours after I'd watched that I remembered I'd seen his name, put the pieces together, and figured out which character he must have been.
I thought he looked readily recognisable, and his torso was, ah, not filed out, I guess. but his face is quite a bit wider through the jaw. His voice is still crazy characteristic.
I just wish he'd had more to do. But there were a lot of threads in that episode.
The national anthem ita mentioned in Natter was a great moment.
To be fair, I haven't seen him in anything since Farscape.

He looked great in SG-1, but he trimmed down a lot--lost at least 20 lbs and was working out hard. I suspect he was grateful to ease up at least a bit on that when the show ended.
It just is bizarre to me that a guy who was the lead on two major sci-fi franchises got cast a henchman anywhere.

Do we know what he's been auditioning for? I can see why he's not head evil guy in this storyline in terms of casting (he's perfectly capable, I'm sure, but the guy in that role whose name is *completely* escaping me right now is really well suited to the turn).
I think he took some time off to deal with Francesca's fight against cancer, though he's in the upcoming Bad Kids Go to Hell movie and still has that web series Naught for Hire in development hell.

I thought he was way too skinny on his SG1 run. he looked different on Chuck, but he looked healthier to me. his face is definitely wider though. i'm surprised people didn't recognize him. if nothing else, the voice would be a dead giveaway.
