Angel: Miss me? Lilah: Only in the sense of…no.

'Just Rewards (2)'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

As much as Chiana was capable of fighting with and holding her own with D'Argo, once she knew he was going to propose to her I think she knew she wouldn't be able to hurt him to his face by turning him down. How that translated in her head to the better option being having sex with his son so he'd be angry enough to break it off with her, I don't know. God knows she had enough backbone to face down everyone else she wanted to tell off. I keep trying to remind myself that in terms of ages, Chiana is quite young. Her interpersonal skills occasionally suck.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

in terms of ages, Chiana is quite young. Her interpersonal skills occasionally suck.

I was thinking this too. D'Argo's son and Chiana looked like they were around the same age. The pairing, removing D'Argo as a factor, made sense to me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

ZOMG Michael Rosenbaum at DragonCon.

I hope they pull Marsters onto some Smallville panels and leave more Gareth David Lloyd for me me me. Though I will have to go see Rosenbaum at least once.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

ita is me. Only, you know, cooler. I thought Owen went out well, but Tosh ... Tosh broke me. I really didn't expect them to take out two real characters at once.

Tosh really, seriously broke me, especially her surprise goodbye that the built in to the computer program to remove Torchwood personnel. I am sorry that Owen only got to say goodbye to Tosh, appropriate as that was on a number of levels.

Also, Jack handles being buried alive (with no COFFIN!) for almost 2 millenia really, REALLY well.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Aeryn Sun is teh awesome.

Primeval is totally cheesy and has lousy gender politics. Most of the characters are deeeeeply stupid. I don't know why I keep watching it; I think it's because it's so silly, and the dinosaurs are fun.

What's next? A Mastodon! Velociraptors let loose in a mall! That's the fun bit. Also, they play tricks with time: there's even a canonical butterfly incident.

There's also something of a conspiracy arc, but it doesn't make a lot of sense. And again with the lousy gender politics. Also, they seriously need a new costume designer. I've never seen such badly dressed heroes in my life.

Art Crawl!!!

Hmmm, I think Primeval is what BBCA is running once Robin Hood Season 2 is done.

I have concluded that I am more pissed off than sad at Toshiko's death. I'm going to be even more poed if they replace her with Mickey because Mickey does not equal Tosh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why does it piss you off, sumi? Do you think it was cheap? Unearned?

Art Crawl!!!

Well, yeah. Angry that they didn't give her more of a life. So angry instead of sad.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Also, Jack handles being buried alive (with no COFFIN!) for almost 2 millenia really, REALLY well.

I guess his clothes are alien tech, too. Otherwise they would have rotted off. Maybe they did, and Torchwood found a dirty, naked Jack in the pit.

Also, he could at least have asked for a pint of stout.

One would think he would have been able to tunnel out of there within a few years.

I'm surprised he didn't go mad, tho. Maybe he went dormant.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I wanted to see more of Tosh. Not because I liked her particularly much, but I felt there was more there to be mined. Particularly in regards to Owen and how she would have handled Owen dying while she lived. Owen was my favorite (even more so than Jack, most of the time) and he's what broke me even if I knew he had to go, because "dead, now."
