This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I wanted to see more of Tosh. Not because I liked her particularly much, but I felt there was more there to be mined. Particularly in regards to Owen and how she would have handled Owen dying while she lived. Owen was my favorite (even more so than Jack, most of the time) and he's what broke me even if I knew he had to go, because "dead, now."

I wonder if that ring that John tossed Jack was more than just a location device. Perhaps it had something that would protect him. Of course, he would still starve to death every so often. . .or does he?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Not because I liked her particularly much, but I felt there was more there to be mined.

So many possibilities opened up with her origin story the week before that her death seemed a complete reversal of direction. We were finally getting an idea of what makes her tick and then, bang!, she's dead.

I'm going to be even more poed if they replace her with

I don't know where this came from, I hope it isn't a spoiler.

The Owen love was the only thing that I didn't like about Tosh. Regardless of how I feel about Owen, he treated her badly, and I wanted her to be smart enough to figure out that it wasn't a good idea. I would even give her her crush up to a certain point, but after he was a complete jerk to her, I wanted her to be stronger.

It's speculation about Mickey.

I felt like Owen's backstory made Tosh's crush more reasonable or at least more understandable.

Isn't casting speculation whitefont?

i'm not sure it's based on anything more than wishful thinking, but then i stay out of the spoiler loop as much as possible. especially with the BBC and what they think is a spoiler.

me too! I'm just trying to determine how we feel about it. It seems to me that casting speculation is Spoilers Lite or whitefont, am I wrong?
