'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Farscape did so much better with that.

Did they get past three? Both the swearing and the time measurement on Farscape always bothered me, because they seemed straight search and replace jobs.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Did they get past three?

Over a dozen!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Am I the only one who was really amused that John kept calling Ianto Eye Candy? Was he doing that before?

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Over a dozen!

And each planet/culture had its own distinct associated curses, if I remember correctly. Crichton just picked whichever suited his mood at the time.

I've seen a couple of ads on BBCA for a show called "Primeval" - does anyone know anything about that show?

I've seen the first two episodes. They were not good; it's a very dull program. But Hannah Spearritt is hot!

I just watched the last 8 episodes of season two and the first 2 episodes of season three, and somewhere in those special features were the curse words of Farscape. I didn't go through all of them, but it was interesting to see some defined as "mild" and some as "crude." And then spooky that it gets addressed here today.

Also Rygel (sp?) says "blue bitch" quite a bit talking about Zan (Xan ?).

eta: Also, I agree I am way over the use of "frak" on BSG. Especially by Kara. She wants to frak Sam. Get in line.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Was he doing that before?

Yeah, he called Ianto that in "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang." I, uh, may have watched that episode several times.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I was going to make my way here to ask the question and now I have the perfect excuse:

Did that seem "off" for Chiana to sleep with Dargo's son as the only way he wouldn't forgive her? I can see her picking a stranger, or even one of the crew, but Dargo had spent all that time, and a significant amount of that with her, searching the galaxy for his son. That seemed pointedly hurtful. As it was happening, I wasn't judging her so harshly because I thought it was a matter of getting carried away in the moment, but then she said it was engineered. Ouch.

I, um, may have watched it several times as well. But, my attention was perhaps diverted by the visuals.
