Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The H-B artwork is so adorable! Somebody needs to write a fic to go with it.

All is well that ends in pizza.

It could be done as a crossover with Eureka's Christmas episode.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, Jeremy is my favourite character on the show. Stupid people. I guess he's gone for at least a while.

Art Crawl!!!

Maybe. Those vampire memory erasure things don't necessarily turn out well.

Plus, it's not like what's his face couldn't find Jeremy elsewhere and won't he still be seeing the dead?

I figure I talk too much about the stupid decision making on the show, so I was going to let *that* commentary slide.

But after him getting all badass (much more convincing than Elena's Buffy schtick), I was hoping to see him stick around in a non-whiny mode. He misses one episode, and that's more than enough to make me wrinkle my nose. I only really like him and Alaric.

There's much less "OMG, queasy? Is she pregnant?" suspicion than I have in real life. I mean, I know it's for us, but why does it take so much longer onscreen? Even when they're wrong, it never seems to come up.

Unless it's a "classic" mistaken pregnancy storyline.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, Casey guessed right away.

Grimm: do we know that the Captain is? (Have I asked that before?)

Are the rings (eta: uh, on The Vampire Diaries) supposed to work so that they prevent you from being killed by anything a supernatural creature does directly? As in, if they drive the car that hits you, or they shoot you, that's as "supernatural" as them biting you?

One of the attacks previous to this one convinced me of that, but there are so many attempts at fatality that I don't remember which one.

Basically, is Ric having further injuries likely to be a retcon, or what?
