A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Okay, so BSG thoughts now that I've had some sleep and some coffee -

I think it's extremely unlikely that the Cavils' attack on the 8s and 6s will succeed (since we didn't see the ships destroyed and even if we did, well, it's television). But still, DAMN. That was pretty intense. DH and I were talking about the implosion of Cylon society we're seeing, and how it all stems from "And they have a plan." They had a plan, it didn't work out, then plan B also didn't work out, and now they're in a state of civil war. These are a people who do not deal well with change.

The Good Ship Starbuck - I understand the narrative need to fill it with characters who all have names, but as others have already pointed out, doesn't this leave Galactica a little short on pilots? Also, I'm pretty sure at this point that the Starbuck on board that ship isn't the original human Starbuck. I think (hat tip to DH for the terminology) she's the beacon they were meant to follow from the nebula.

And DUDE!! Tory!! Cally!! I have never been so happy to be spoiled in my life as I was watching Cally take Nicky down to that airlock. I don't think I could have handled thinking she was actually going to kill her baby. Poor Cally. She got such a raw deal.

Lee, you continue to amaze me with your douchebaggery. Please never change.

DH and I were also speculating that the final Cylon could be the Earth itself (since having it be almost any human character except Roslin would be a pretty huge letdown at this pont), in which case RDM owes the Douglas Adams estate some money, but wouldn't that be cool???

Now tagless for your comfort.

Tosh broke me, too, MM.

DH watched two episodes with me--including Fragments--with me. When he saw Ianto and Jack, he looked at me and said, "I know why you like this show--lots of Man Love."

Hmm. It does have a tendency to glow when there's a lot of motion going on at night...

Art Crawl!!!

When I was rewatching last night I totally saw airlocked Cally floating past Orion's Belt.

I like the idea of Starbuck as the beacon. (Didn't Apollo already suggest this to Adama?)

But in what way would Cally be similar to Starbuck?

But in what way would Cally be similar to Starbuck?

They both unknowingly married Cylons.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh. Okay - I thought it was something more specific to their beings.

Art Crawl!!!

Do you guys think that Cavil knows who the final five are?

Oh, and speaking of Cylon husbands, I kind of adore the way Sam doesn't give up on Kara just because she wants him to. And how lately he's all "You came back from the dead! I'm secretly a Cylon! Hooray - finally we can fix our marriage!!!!" I just want to give him a hug.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Just how awesome is Ray Wise?

Ann, that's a ferret.

I usually don't watch DW on BBCA, but (1) Hubs is quite the fan of the show, and (2) I'm quite the fan of Kylie Minogue. So I saw the ep. And got the special added bonus of Richard from Keeping Up Appearances as the tour guide! I also felt a Poseidon vibe.

TW BBCA -- killing two regulars, very bold move! And Rhys learned a bit about what his wife really does, which may change his perspective next season.

One question that's been bubbling up in my mind for a bit is, and we may find out the answer soon, is how does TW choose its members? Is five a magic number? Does TW look for specific skills, or who's available, or some mix? (In other words, for example, did Jack approach Owen because the Doctor Position was open? Or because Owen was recruitable?)
