Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I usually don't watch DW on BBCA, but (1) Hubs is quite the fan of the show, and (2) I'm quite the fan of Kylie Minogue. So I saw the ep. And got the special added bonus of Richard from Keeping Up Appearances as the tour guide! I also felt a Poseidon vibe.

TW BBCA -- killing two regulars, very bold move! And Rhys learned a bit about what his wife really does, which may change his perspective next season.

One question that's been bubbling up in my mind for a bit is, and we may find out the answer soon, is how does TW choose its members? Is five a magic number? Does TW look for specific skills, or who's available, or some mix? (In other words, for example, did Jack approach Owen because the Doctor Position was open? Or because Owen was recruitable?)

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, so we don't actually know that there is going to be a season 3? Or - there's going to be a season three but it's going to be more like SJA?

Oh and I read a rumor that not only Martha but also Mickey would be joining TW. I assume that something that happens in season 4 of Who makes that even a possibility.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

(In other words, for example, did Jack approach Owen because the Doctor Position was open? Or because Owen was recruitable?)

I get the feeling Jack just makes shit up as he goes. Like if the team was totally full up, but he found somebody he liked and/or thought was useful somehow he'd be all "All right, uh...can you make blintzes? We need a blintz-maker. Show up on Monday with your best recipe."

Ann, that's a ferret.

That's kind of what I thought. Torchwood could run just fine without a butler, unless you define the role as more of a majordomo who keeps the place running administratively. Because I don't see Jack as the admin type, which means Ianto really runs things. Kind of like Col. Blake and Radar, except Ianto probably has an autopen handy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Everyone needs an Alfred.

Art Crawl!!!

I've seen a couple of ads on BBCA for a show called "Primeval" - does anyone know anything about that show?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

What's the word on "Scarlet"? The fact that it's being promoted as "from the Director of Smallville and Supernatural" doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

It's Doctor Who, cross bred with The A-Team and Torchwood. The non-Big Gay Sex bits of Torchwood.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I know Suela watches Primeval.
