'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Plots from the unaired Season 8 of ST:TNG.

Tough to pick a favorite.

"A duplicate Enterprise with a duplicate crew proves to be a nanobot/Borg evolutionary leap. Riker's trombone gains sentience, grows a beard."

or maybe

A sentient nebula chases the ship, which has nowhere to hide, because usually it would be in a nebula. Data adopts a dog, snake, and parrot.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Erin started a comment thread on Facebook about Once Upon A Time and the evil queen talking about Honeycrisp apples, and then offering what was clearly a Red Delicious.

I thought I would also mention it here, as we talk about the show here as well.

Basicaally my response is that Andi and I rolled our eyes at that, too. Plus, she has had a Honeycrisp tree since she was a little girl? Um, the U of M only released the Honeycrisp for production in 1991. Good thing Emma can spot a liar. Or, you know, look it up on the Internet.

She should have followed up with, "But here, have a Red Delicious. It looks great, but tastes like crap."

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

'Alternate timeline' also qualifies for Once Upon A Time, with perhaps more justification. :-)

Art Crawl!!!

Thank you, Erin. Because I commented loudly to my tv and to my co-workers on Monday who did not get it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My question about Once Upon a Time is if no one ages there, how is the boy given up for adoption 10 years ago a 10 year old boy and not still a baby?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Magic. Alternate reality. Handwavium.

Not aging is due to the curse, not the town. Baby boy was born in our world, so not subject to the curse. Suspect that is true of the kids in the school. Wonder if the town inhabitants that are born there are starting to notice that most of the inhabitants are not aging.

This makes sense, but time was not moving in the town before Emma showed up so that to me means nothing and no one should be able to age.

I'll probably give the show a couple more episodes. Mainly to see if they give Rumplestillskin anything interesting to do because I like the actor. However, the first two episodes only left me with a craving for hot chocolate with cinnamon.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I wonder if they're going with the conceit that EVERYONE in the town, except Henry, is part of the curse, even the little kids.

The "why is only one kid aging" thing would probably be answered with handwavium.

Maybe part of the curse makes the people in town not question weird stuff that happens?
