Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Anyone else notice that Olivia was wearing color? Were there no Cortexiphan trials is this timeline? I'm kind of fascinated by some of the smaller changes in the timeline.

Aw, September. Couldn't bring himself to finish off Peter. I hope that doesn't bode ill for him. It didn't work out so well for August.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I did think they're arguing that Olivia is harder without Peter, the way they're arguing that Walter is more crazy. I'll buy the second, but not the first.

Nice to get the outsider's view on Fringe, though it's a pity they had to kill off Joe Flanigan. I figured he was dead, though, because if he'd been made even an irregular character I would have heard it through the Stargate fandom.

Whoa. Has she never been before this? Just black, white and gray?

She sometimes had blues, but either very dark or very pale. She's always been pretty monochrome and muted in her wardrobe.

Olivia seems to be closer to where she was in Season 1, which I do buy. She hasn't had the friendship with Peter to lighten the load. It's all still memories of John Scott (who died from the transparency condition and not the car crash?!) and the weight of the job.

Speaking of Stargate, did the hallways to the machine/bridge room look like a re-dressed Stargate set?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

aurelia, I thought that too. But cheap sets always look pretty much alike.

Joe Flanigan seems to have gotten the shortest guest appearance credit I can remember.

I agree, I totally bought this.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

And Olivia needed her load lightened. She was experimented on as a youth, her mother passed away, so both things really screwed her up.

What I found interesting though is that there was NO mention of her previous lover (from Season 1). Given that 3-4 years would have gone by since he died, I suppose I could understand it, but that really drove her the first season and I thought we might revisit that.

Wasn't that the partner she was talking about that died?
