I'm just waiting to see if I pass out. Long story.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

The Poseidon Adventure

I was totally thinking about that when I was watching it. Almost no Titanic refrences, though, apart from the ship (and I guess maybe Astrid's sacrafice).

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

That was just too cute! I really need to get a hold of more of the old stuff. I like that Doctor.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I was completely taken aback by the appearance of Geoffrey Palmer as the captain. Apparently I had him confused with Judi Dench's late husband Michael Williams, and thought he'd been dead for years.

Was anyone else less than thrilled by the bit about Queen Elizabeth II in her housecoat waving her thanks to the Doctor as the ship sailed by? I think I'd have much preferred it if she continued the antagonistic stance her namesake and Queen Victoria had toward him, and was shown shaking her fist and swearing vengeance after she'd been evacuated by the efforts of her own underlings and seen the Doctor shear the top floor off of Buckingham Palace.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Yes, but during QE II's reign he's been quite the force for good.

She probably has been briefed by UNIT over the years.

Trust my rage

Holy crap - I can't believe there isn't more discussion about BSG from last night. I personally was a bit horrified that Cally might airlock her son and not herself (or both of them) and was actually slightly relieved by Tory's decision. Still, woah. I don't think you can say you are "just like you used to be" anymore.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

BSG: That was a crazy turn of events! Not sorry Cally is gone, but it was a total HS moment! In re: Starbuck and Sam's encounter, a little "frak" goes a long way. That got really silly IMO. I'm glad Adama made nice with Roslin. I'm tired of shitheel Lee.

Yes, but during QE II's reign he's been quite the force for good.

From the very first day, in fact!

Art Crawl!!!

This was mentioned over at TWOP and now I'm wondering if it's right: what if Cally is the final Cylon? There are things she mentioned that could apply to Galen but could equally apply to her: she told Doc Cottle that things had been off since they entered the Nebula. (Could be because of what Galen was going through - or it could be something she was going through herself.) The music when she was spying on Tigh, Tyrol and Tory was very Final Fiveish (could be because of them only or because of her too) and finally, when she was freaking out at Tory one of the things she said was "Trigger!" - -- what else could that be referring to?

If she is the final Cylon - could she still be alive? Do they die as quickly in space as humans?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I don't think she's the fifth. I wouldn't be surprised if she was having trouble sleeping because her son was - being half cylon and all. Not to mention her husband was fucked up.

If she is the 5th, they are going to have to explain how the birth of the baby came to be...

It wouldn't surprise me, however, if Cally were like Starbuck. Assuming Starbuck isn't the 5th. Something is up with Starbuck - yet I don't believe she is a cylon.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

From a narrative pov, if she was the final Cylon, she wouldn't be dead. They need the big reveal, and the interpersonal shock of the fifth's exposure.

We're running out of possibilities: at this point I wouldn't put it past Moore to make it Roslin or Adama.
