Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

Not to mention, didn't they kill another random Nazi so they could take over his body and they were perfectly fine with that?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Well, after they miniaturized him, they ID'd him as "Erich Zimmerman, loyal member of the Nazi Party, guilty of category 3 hate crimes." I took away form that that if he was judged to be an innocent, he would have been spared not unlike Amy and Rory.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It wasn't a question of guilt or innocence. They said that they weren't trying to change history. They only wanted to make sure that bad people suffered a lot of pain. So if Erich Zimmerman had more hate crimes yet to commit (which seems likely in 1938), they could have changed history. The whole not-realizing-we're-seven-years-early thing was silly, but I don't expect much logic from Who.

I don't expect much logic from institutionalized, bureaucratized punishment squads.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

DCJ, that was my favorite line from last night, by far.

Like the Doctor asking the TARDIS for a visual interface, and how he doesn't want to see himself as the visual interface as he doesn't like himself.

I hated this episode but I loved that scene because it reminded me a lot of "Amy's Choice" (such a good episode) with his non-liking of himself and his belief that he screws everyone up. And even the version of Amy that the Tardis conjures up is Amy before he ever let her down.

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are fast becoming the only reasons I'm still watching this show. I feel like Stephen Moffat has completely lost it and is just throwing 30 ideas into one script trying to distract the audience before they realize nothing makes any sense. That fact that there are any coherent emotional moments is basically down to the acting at this point.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Garret Dillahunt is back in his wheelhouse.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Garret Dillahunt is back in his wheelhouse.

Is he competing with Mark Sheppard to see who can be in the most shows ever?
