Yay, Zoe and Jo save the day! Nice one.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Okay, if Gareth David-Lloyd is gonna be in the H.G. Wells spinoff, I'm in.
Nnnergh. Amen.
LOVED! the Zoe and Jo show. I was afraid, early on, it was going to be all about Zane (and it kinda still was), but once Bevirson coma-ed the town, it got fun. I just hope that Zoe is around a little longer so she gets some interaction with her dad, which is what I loved about her character in the first place.
Warehouse 13: What ended up happening to Jack and Claire? We know, I think, but I forgot.
Agreed, Frank, we need some Zoe and Jack scenes.
I was pretty impressed with Salli, since it was quite obvious she was Beverly from the get go. That was well done.
She directed this one, too, if I read the credits correctly. Pretty impressive.
SyFy cancels the last six episodes of Eureka and the show (of course.)
So, the end of Falling Skies? Kind of lackluster. There were two dramatic scenes that should have been shot but instead we got informed about later (Rick talking to Megan and then getting dissed by the Skitters, and Weaver & Co. get shot to hell), and the big scene where Mason shoots the RPG was totally anti-climactic. Are they trying to make the show boring?
Also, I was pretty peeved that in the big shootout at the school, they actually had Maggie take off her shirt so she was wearing a tank top, even though all the men around her were wearing jackets.
I'm intrigued by the question of what the aliens want, but the writing is cludgy and humorless and the characters bland (with the exception of Pope, and even he is pretty predictable). Not sure I'll come back around next June--if I even remember to watch it. Maybe if they get some better writers.
The show is, as Nutty reminded me on my LJ, completely un-ironic. And I think that's hard to make work nowadays, after so many decades of pop-culture alien invasions.
I finally got around to seeing the Alphas pilot, and I enjoyed it. I'll admit, I always like seeing Strathairn, even when he plays a vile character. And, wow, Mr. Nigel-Murray has serious range.
I love Gary. I think I'm in it just for him.
