Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Ahhhhh, got it. You know, if they *had to* drop one episode out of the 9...
Aw, man. Can't do it. It's like Sophie's Choice divided into 9 equal parts. Like Fiona said, they could have done a two-hour thing on one of the nights (they do this stateside all the time) or aired an additional episode on a different night or something.
They are silly.
Wait - are they going to miss KC singing "Hopelessly Devoted"? (Or was that in the pilot?)
If so, I believe that the TV viewing public should rebel.
Perhaps pieing the tv executives. . . or something.
Man, Ron Moore has stepped out of the 80s, hasn't he?
Sorry for the doublepost.
Set up through Universal Media Studios, "Virtuality" focuses on the 12-member crew of Phaeton, a starship that leaves Earth on a 10-year exploratory mission. The ship has been equipped with state-of-the-art virtual reality modules that let the crew escape their constrained surroundings. Of course, when things start going wrong with the virtual reality, there are serious repercussions.
Soooo.... It's like a Star Trek Holodeck episode stretched out over an entire series?
Guess who wrote many of those wacky Star Trek Holodeck episodes back in the day?
Maybe someone can be in a holodeck simulation of being trapped in a shuttlecraft while having pon farr.
Well, here's hoping Moore's post-BSG project is less cringe-worthy than David Eick's.
I googled Eick on a lark and apparently he's working on an TV adaptation of Children of Men?? (This sounds familiar. Somebody probably mentioned it upthread and I'd forgotten about it.) But why, so soon after the film? Hmmphf.
Virtuality sounds like a movie premise than one for an ongoing TV series. Well, I guess TV series has been founded on a thinner premise.
