Given that I only have mental energy to sleep and watch TV, I watched "Falling Skies". Don't have energy for a full, probably TLDR post, but: Pope, worst choice for cook since Long John Silver? If they still consider themselves U.S. military he committed a bunch of death penalty crimes. Not worth the resource to keep prisoner. I'm thinking the effort of guarding him rather than the food he eats. Plus they may be professional military, but are strictly amateur hour when it comes to guarding prisoner. I suspect that Pope can escape any time he wants to, especially since he now has access to knives. He's just sticking around to grab Mass 2's best weapon plus a new gang he intends to recruit. He's charismatic, the commander sucks at civilian relations. Pope will be able to find a few people dumb or desperate enough to form his new gang. I suspect he does not particularly want a dozen. A lot easier to do things his way with just him and 3 or 4 other.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Looks like the US and the UK will be getting slightly different versions of Torchwood.
Miracle Day, the fourth season of the Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood, will be different depending on whether you watch it in the UK or the US. That's according to the editor of the official Doctor Who Magazine, Tom Spilsbury.
Posting on Twitter earlier in the week, Spilsbury said that some content would be removed from the US version because of episode timing, while other content would be excised from the UK version because it was unsuitable to be shown on the BBC. Spillsbury said that the BBC version wasn't being censored per se, but didn't expand on what was actually going on. He also baited the hardcore fans by posing the question of which version would be the "proper" version, and entreating them to "PANIC!"
This is sounding like a clusterfuck.
I'm not sure why this is news - this is the case with just about all international coproductions.
really?
but in the past, I have know which is the "real" version of the show. it sounds like that issue is in doubt?
I'm not used to the idea that there would be US-only content and UK-only content. Just that one would be trimmed for time and/or ratings, but the other one is canonical and contains everything. Now there is no one full episode.
Very annoying.
Meanwhile, MTV has launched exclusive Teen Wolf webisodes - starting today. They are sponsored by ATT and will appear on ATTs fb page 1st.
Now there is no one full episode.
Yeah, that's a real problem.
