A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Art Crawl!!!

He didn't seem to be. (Well, BBCA showed Utopia earlier tonight you know.)

And my BBCA feed is intermittently sucking. ARgh.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Oh Christ, poor Owen. Words I never thought I would say. He used to be a SNAG?

I have the Doctor now. 4.2. Had to hit pause to say...

"I am... Spartacus."

"And so am I."

Har !

OK, I really liked that up. I am kind of surprised by how upsetting it was toward the end there, which I'm fine with - upsetting is quite an understatement for what happened to Pompeii; I just wasn't really expecting it to be that visceral, I guess.

Also, this show really excels at making me care immediately about the guest stars. I was looking/feeling pretty much like Donna when she was in the TARDIS trying to convince him to go back.

I love the funny in this ep. Good god. Spartacus and Spartacus. The son also rises. Celtic. Love!

I think these two work great together. ETA: And I also love that she helped him push the lever. Didn't make him do it alone. ::sniff::

Art Crawl!!!

I know! I figured from his childhood that he wouldn't have had that sort of relationship but no - I think that was the most surprising thing. Well, possibly.

I loved that they had a backstory for the pteridactyl too.

And the scary little girl was the same scary little girl that we saw before too, right?

I somehow missed the scary little girl. Also not sure which SLG you mean from before.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

She was the little girl who told Jack where to find the Resurrection Glove in "Dead Man Walking."

OK, I do remember that now, because I remember thinking she was on loan from Wolfram & Hart, but I totally missed her tonight somehow.

She read the cards for Jack back in the 19th century and told him that it would be the 21st century when he next saw who he was looking for and the picture on the card she pulled (a knight) had Jack's face.

BSG related: Bear McCreary blogs about the music of "Six of One."

And apparently, there is a season 2 of the Sarah Jane Adventures.

Oh, that little girl must be undead like Owen! (I can't believe I didn't understand that before.)

DW 4.2:

interesting. SO has started watching with me, and his comment at the end was, "bits of it were really good and other bits were really lame", and I had to agree. I think I missed quite a lot of the dialogue though, so I'm looking forward to the rewatch.

I did enjoy the Doctor-Donna interaction very much. Much more than I ever expected to !

Oh, and "Pushing Dasies" started here last night. The vibe I gather from this thread is pretty positive so far, isn't it? I enjoyed it, though it may take some getting used to. Anna Friel's US accent was very impressive, though.
