All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Heh. I did click on that one. When ita posted it. And Consuela, I agree with you.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

The Superman outfit in the fortress was probably Brandon Routh's, but the one at the end? Was Chris Reeve's, I bet?

Dear Jesus, if this is true, I'll be watching that part and crying even harder.

OK the music at the end totally got me. Thumbs up.

Yeah, I went into this giving myself up to the cheese. I love Supe and have good childhood memories of the movies so when I heard the music from the movies, I played right into their hands. Sappy McSapperson.

I choose only to see the Lex parts. And the part where Lex sent Clark back to the barn to pick up a dildo and triggered a montage.

Oh how I missed the Clark and Lex Barn scenes. Twu Wuv.

Where did Tess' badass infusion come from? That was awesome.

I had seen an episode here and there enough to just know who she was. I'm fairly certain if she had been all River Tam like last night on the bad guys, I would have watched more. Maybe I just didn't get her good episodes, but I thought she really shone in that fight. Until she was killed.

Yeah, the last 30 seconds was all that was worth watching.

Honestly, I think you are probably right. But I went into it after not watching for years and was looking forward to some nostalgia. I felt manipulated and talked down to, but I didn't care. I got to see characters that I had enjoyed years ago and that I missed and got to smile as they all said goodbye. I let the sap flow over me and was rewarded with seeing their version of great Superman iconic moments. I'm sure that Christopher Reeve forever gave me rose colored glasses but I was happy to be reminded of those days and unapologetically cried as Tom Welling got closer to being the Superman that he should have been.

Plus long time Series finales usually make me cry.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I am actually quite thankful for some of the episodes in the last couple of years, some really solid ones. I just wish that it didn't look like some of the writers and effects team had quit the last three episodes.

Also? This could have been edited down to 90 minutes, easily. Maybe some of it could have been in the penultimate episode.

It was interesting to see Aaron Ashmore as "Olson". Were we to think this was Jimmy's brother/cousin/twin?

I wish we would have seen more of Perry White than behind a closed door.

Also, the introduction to the world that the Blur was called Superman would have been nice. I was kind of waiting for that to happen, and thought it would when Lois picked up the camera.

And Lex has all of his memories erased? How will he function?

t repeats the MST3K mantra and goes to work in the yard a bit.

I wonder if we didn't see him but just got his voice because it was seven years in the future? My bar was set so low that I was happy for the voice at least.

I think Lois said he was Jimmy's nephew. I was happy they at least did that because I needed at least that piece of the bridge into the Superman verse. It's not perfect or right but it's better than no Jimmy Olson at all.

Also, the introduction to the world that the Blur was called Superman would have been nice. I was kind of waiting for that to happen, and thought it would when Lois picked up the camera.

That's one of the only things that I remember waiting on that didn't happen. I wanted it so badly, and really there was no way of getting any cornier, so I'm not sure why we didn't get it.

And Lex has all of his memories erased? How will he function?

I wondered this as well. If he doesn't remember Lionel or any of his trauma in childhood, why is he even Evil? How did he know to answer to the name of Lex? That was a silly thing.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Apparently the Jimmy Olson we had until 2009 was "Henry James Olson" on his tombstone in the ep where he died.

Wiki says the camera was given to his younger brother, who was unnamed and presumably named James, I guess.

Aaron Ashmore is 31.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I imagine people will say "Hey, Lex" at him a time or two. But the whole evil thing suggests that it's an inherent part of him--the Luthor curse--rather than something his father made him. Which seems to contradict the earlier part of the show that portrayed a man torn between wanting to be both great and somewhat good and being pushed by his dad and other experiences (including Clark's lying, which is hard for a paronoid person to cope with) to a wrong direction.

Lois says, "Your brother left big shoes" so I don't know where I got nephew. My bad.

Wiki says the camera was given to his younger brother, who was unnamed and presumably named James, I guess.

I read this and was thinking what a strange family to only name the eldest son. It was my brain and not your writing. I'm glad I didn't know the other Jimmy was Henry and not the real Jimmy. That kinda sucks.

I imagine people will say "Hey, Lex" at him a time or two.

But those people should have been running and screaming from Zombie Lex. Anyone who knew his name was Lex should have known he was dead. I can't believe I'm trying to analyze this. I agree with your nature nurture points and am just going to be happy with "hey look, Clark is finally wearing the tights!"

I notice they didn't show him in the full outfit once.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I was wondering how Clark suddenly experienced the billion-fold boost in power that would let him fly off with an entire planet, but then chalked it up to finally letting loose all the smoke people have been blowing up his ass for years about his special destiny and how noble and heroic he is.
