Oh, I love the shit out of 11. I think Matt Smith is amazing.
For a young actor he's got the old spirit going bigtime, in my opinion.
Absolutely.
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

If one were looking to start watching Who, where should one start?
Probably BEST to start with the Ninth Doctor (Series One). Otherwise, start with the Tenth Doctor (Series Two). Or the Eleventh Doctor (Series Five).
My boyfriend and I knew nothing of Who, and we started with the first episode of New Who "Rose". It took me a few episodes to fall in love with it, but I did. Give it a try! (It's on Netflix live streaming if you have that).
I wish this Doctor weren't Matt Smith. I wish I liked Matt Smith better.
Zen is me. And I want to add, that I am very disappointed in the writing so far. I might like Smith better if the episodes were better written.
I wasn't thrilled with him last season, but the two-parter this season I fell head over heels and kinda finally got him.
I love that 11 can laugh at himself. No longer is he The Oncoming Storm, but rather he keeps trying on new silly names and discarding them as rubbish.
(okay, okay, I'll be honest, I found him ridiculously hot when he was bearded and chained up).
Back when those episodes aired, I just couldn't get into 9, so I stopped watching. 11 was the first Doctor I fell in love with. Then when I went to get caught up on the first four seasons, and at this point I still love 11 but I love 10 just a little more.
I fell in love with 9 instantly. I was so incredibly resistant to 10, but it didn't take me long to fall in love with him (equally as much as I love 9). I honestly don't know why 11 isn't clicking with me.
I adore 11. He's so much less work than 10.
Someone mentioned somewhere else that this week's episode was written by the same guy who wrote the second Sherlock episode, "The Blind Banker." Which explains a lot.
