I fell in love with 9 instantly. I was so incredibly resistant to 10, but it didn't take me long to fall in love with him (equally as much as I love 9). I honestly don't know why 11 isn't clicking with me.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I adore 11. He's so much less work than 10.
Someone mentioned somewhere else that this week's episode was written by the same guy who wrote the second Sherlock episode, "The Blind Banker." Which explains a lot.
I adore 11. He's so much less work than 10.
See, and I love 10 more for that very reason.
Although Matt Smith has grown on me. He brings his own unique spin to the role and I do buy the very old soul/spirit within the young body vibe to him.
I love 11 so much more than 10, who I could like but never really love after 9, who I adored.
Oh, forgot to mention my favorite moment of the last episode! When everyone was running for their loved ones and shouting their names, and 11 yelled "The Tardis!" and ran up and hugged the Tardis! So awesome!
The Tardis is his one true love.
I get tired of the soap opera aspects of New Who. I got really, really tired of Rose.
I LOVED the tenth Doctor - and it took me almost all of last season before I loved 11, but somehow suddenly in The Pandorica Opens, he finally became The Doctor for me.
I do think, though, that generally he's not given the kind of scripts that DT or CE got. When he's given something meaty like "Amy's Choice" or sweet and funny like "The Lodger" he knocks it out of the park.
The Rory death scene was ridiculous.
That trope of
theCPRsnotworking!-theCPRsnotworking!-theCPRsnotworking!-theCPRsnotworking! ...Looooooong Pause... OhwaitItworked!
really bugs me.
