Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We did still see Peter in the redverse episodes early in the season. I don't doubt that he'll still be present in some way.

I am starting to see the brilliance in removing Peter from inter-universe "peace talks". He is the original point of contention. Cooperation and collaboration may be more likely when no one is trying to win him.

As to Josh Jackson's sweater, I kind of love that he chooses that when the girlfriend isn't around to dress him. [link] (around 4:45)

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Conversation on twitter just now between Steven Moffat and Neil Gaiman:

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Well, that was OK.

Ha ha, yeah, basically. That...sure was an episode of Doctor Who with pirates. Who became SPACE pirates!

I liked the "healer gone wrong" plot better in "The Doctor Dances." This one didn't make much sense.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I didn't get Rory's hand cuts equating to him drowning once off life support.

Or why she was "saving" them without really saving them. Except suddenly all the crew seemed to fine except Tyhpoid Boy

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I didn't get Rory's hand cuts equating to him drowning once off life support.

When he got knocked overboard, the Doctor said he was drowning.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Rory was drowning when the siren got him out of the water.

For most of the crew, the only health problem they have were their nicks and cuts, which they could heal on their own. The exceptions were Rory (drowning) and Toby (Typhoid). It's weird that none of them chose to go back onto their own ship (although, I suppose, becalmed is bad).

He was drowning because he was drowning when the siren transported him to the med center to save him.

What the hell she was doing with the pirates who were PERFECTLY FINE except for a little cut is anyone's guess.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Rory was drowning when she got to him--he had dived into the ocean. She was taking in any human with an imperfection and made no distinction between a cut finger or a case of Typhoid. And she wasn't curing them, just keeping them alive. She was more an EMT than a doctor, really.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Apparently, when we know an answer, we really like to jump in with it.
