And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Victor, I mean as of right now, with Peter sucked through a crack in time or whatever, if he never existed, why did Walter cross over the first time?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Hm. "served his purpose" and "never existed" seem mutually exclusive to me unless they are different timelines/universes. I can't quite articulate my thoughts on this yet.

I need to see the opening credits again. Was the gray-verse the future, or the merged now? There was different text, too.

This is kind of sweet. A thank you to Fringe fans. [link]

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Awww. It's interesting to see Broyles' real voice. It's kind of disappointing that he's not that intense all of the time.

That was pretty cool. "I'm in the future, dude!"

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I was freaked by Anna Torv's accent.

Also: Brad Dourif! I can't believe they got freaking Wormtongue for only two scenes.

I admit that I was getting cranky through most of this episode; for me the show is about Olivia, and I don't much care about Peter (or even Olivia/Peter), so having an entire episode in which Olivia does nothing but get shot by Walternate? Not all that fun for me.

But the ending gave us double!Olivia. And I have no idea what will happen next...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Whoa.

That's all I got.

Isn't he a Vancouver local? I know he was on Millennium and X-Files.

I wasn't surprised by Olivia's death (from the preview I knew there was a funeral and a broken Peter), but the way they did it was pretty shocking. I may have been most surprised at how un-redeemable Walternate had become. Well, that, the disappearing Peter, and the Observers at the end. How many of them were there, anyway?

So... if Walter sent the machine and the original First People transcript back in time... does that mean Walter is Rambaldi?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Very latish to DW:

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a DW episode so much. I watched it twice, as it was so good.

And dang, so many questions! And theories!

But first...

So Amy has Schrödinger's pregnancy? And she's the mother of a Time Lord?

Here's what I'm kindda hoping for: with all of the "let's pick up every last detail from every DW season!" thing going on there (oh, how they scared me with many Amy's death!), I'm wishing that somehow, just somehow, it's the Doctor's daughter. You know, from the episode where they cloned him in the land of everlasting 4 day war.

the Silence

You have no idea how irritating it is to keep hearing again and again Cylons instead of Silence. I was first confused, then disappointed from the BSG very odd ripoff, and then it took me about 15 minutes to remember the Silence thing.

River

Is fantastic. And awesome. I'll get back to her later, but I just needed to say that the flirting scene with the doctor might have been replayed few times. Ahem. And it's still hot. Reminds me of the good ol'days of me and omnis over at Bitches.

Amy and Canton had a nice Mulder and Scully vibe in the nursing home

I watched exactly 5 minutes of x-files and thought the same.

Rory and Amy, Doctor and River

Are designed to break my heart. The dynamics of both of the couples is similar (very strong and equal-yet-different characters. Well, maybe River is a bit better than the Doctor. At least, I like her better), but it's their positions that makes them so different.

I'm worried that the woman at the door is telling the truth, and it's another season in which Pond is dreaming/constructing. It's brilliant in theory, but it's not Dr. Who, in a way, you know? Unless Moffat is there to completely change the series, which is OK, I can roll with it for he is a brilliant storyteller.

There's something deep here, which I have no time to think of. It's how Moffat plays with forgetting and remembering. Remember Donna, and how she lost her memory was very tragic and heartbreaking? Here, with Pond, it's how a woman actively losing and gaining memory is constructing the world. And there's River, how has to place herself in time every time she meets the Doctor, and remember what not to tell him - or else, spoilers in his timeline. And the Silence. And the Doctor himself.

But again, no time, dammit. Wonderful ep. Wonderful River.
