A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'm surprised they defeated the Silence already, but...I don't know if it's really over. Surely they'll be back.
Well, surely not everyone with the kill on sight order in their heads have the means to do that. So, yeah, I'm guessing they're not completely gone. Especially since they apparently have underground tunnels everyone.
I hope they bring back Canton. He was a great character. And I would think he and the Doctor would need a little more interaction to get to the point where he'd invite him to his wake, so to speak. I do get the feeling that Canton knew something about the Doctor's plan there, though, since he didn't seem confused or terribly upset. I love that they got Mark Sheppard's dad to play the role, thought I guess it's not the first time they've done that.
I love that both of the Sheppards are "that guy", as in that guy you have seen in practically everything.
Also, Moffat is evil.
We've established this.
Also, the orphanage was seriously creeptastic. And around the second time the Silence uttered "Silence will fall," I realized they meant the fall of their own civilization, not Silence falling over civilization.
The regeneration was absolutely wild and brings a whole sense of WTF to the season.
I'm going to watch it again on BBCA in an hour.
And then download the HD version from iTunes.
And around the second time the Silence uttered "Silence will fall," I realized they meant the fall of their own civilization
Yeah, that's what I heard, and I thought...well, that's not very ominous. Tooting your own demise, are you?
River realizing she kissed the Doctor for the last time was heartbreaking. Also, she's a total badass. Loved her spin move.
Her spin move was great, but there was no explanation for how she was able to shoot the Silent behind her, unless she saw it in a reflection or something.
The beginning of that episode was fantastic. I
loved
River's dive into the Tardis's swimming pool. (Which also saved her a few weeks in a body bag - clever River).
I wonder if we'll ever find out what happened in the warehouse? That was one hell of an ellipsis. One which seems to have affected Amy's pregnancy in some timey-wimey way.
We've GOT to see Canton again, haven't we? I'll be very upset if we don't.
OMG, I love Fringe. Even though I have no idea what happened at the end there. For some reason I think Peter was still in the blueverse, though I couldn't begin to explain why. Or why it was suddenly 10 or more years into the future. Did anyone else notice he was wearing a wedding ring?
Even though the promos said only one universe would survive, I'm wondering if that's not true and the war between universes became much more conventional during the time gap. Otherwise, that battle that Peter woke to seems pretty random.
I hope we get more backstory on why the hell the machine was created in the first place.
