Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Joel Wyman totally has me crushing on him over on Twitter. He's so sweet to everyone.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Somebody pointed out how much "plague of locusts" is Biblical. In fact, I'd point out that a bunch of shepherds getting wiped out is pretty much the Annunciation in reverse. Now we just need three wise men getting killed... hmmm....

Is the first airing of Doctor Who on BBCA uncut? Or would I be better off downloading the new episode? I'm so excited!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's 43 minutes in the UK, an hour slot here. Should be good.

Does that make 11 the last incarnation? Or do they have to change things so that doesn't happen?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

If it makes 11 the last incarnation, that both contradicts canon (I think somewhere in old Who, the 13th regeneration was shown?) and seems to shoot themselves in the foot.

It's what the Moff does.

Actually, I think somewhere in old Who they said they'd only get to an 11th regeneration, and people were wondering how Moff would write his way out of that.

Wikipedia says:

It is first stated in The Deadly Assassin (1976) that a Time Lord can regenerate twelve times before dying (thirteen incarnations in all).
