Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Torchwood poster.

Yeah, I'm officially psyched.

Oh, trigger finger in correct position!

Liese, you make me laugh so hard every time you talk about guns. And I mean that in the nicest way. It's not many people around here who get as dorky as I feel.

Love the tagline. "Death is not an option."

I am perfectly willing to own my completely new gun geekery. Today is a year minus three days since I touched my first handgun, ever, and it was love.

I was out shooting my bb gun that my band leader gave me for an anniversary gift this week. I was cracking myself up with my bb gun earnestness.

And seriously, Jack's no novice with weaponry. He should know how to handle his firearm. And there he's doing it correctly, no thanks to most media.

What is with that? I didn't start falling for them until I started working with disarming, but having worked with them now, I'm all...forgive me...gun ho.

And I really need to go shooting again. I wish I didn't have headaches.

Also, go Jack!

No, I got nothing on topic. I do really like his normal sidearm, though.

Liese, did you know about the internet movie firearm database? Here's the Torchwood entry.

Haha. I do, in fact, know about that database, mostly because immediately after shooting, I thought I saw the firearm I'd used (SIG-Sauer 229) on Numb3rs and had to find out. (It wasn't, it was a 226, so I was still pretty pleased with myself for recognizing it.)

I am in *love* with their Supernatural page, as you might be completely surprised to hear. The level of detail is exquisite, and it makes me love the show more, because it's clearly a crew that loves their firearms.

So now I only cheat and use non-canon firearms in my art when I see something especially pretty. I hadn't realised there was so much canon to choose from.

I could spend all day on that site.
