Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
He wears a Stetson. Stetsons are cool.
Maybe Gary and I can finish the previous season before the new one starts. (We've seen the first 5 eps)
YAY!!! The best part about the Doctor is that for some reason my mother-in-law, who has Alzheimers (and lives with us) can usually follow the story line at least most of it. She cracks me up when she says "I really like that Doctor fellow".
Awesome! Holli had posted that on DW today but I forgot to go back and look for it when I got home.
I saw that at one of the Fandom March Madness comment threads and it made me clap like a seal.
Kiwis get creative after the earthquake to solve a crappy problem
The recent earthquake in Christchurch New Zealand was a massive human tragedy, but even if many homes escaped serious damage, most of their residents have been without water to flush their toilets. To solve this stinky problem everyone has been building outhouses, with some amazingly creative results.
When you consider that the earthquake was just over two weeks ago, and everyone had to improvise using what they had on hand, I think these creations are pretty impressive. The best one of all has to be The The Turdis, a place where any true Doctor Who fan would be proud to do their business.
Doctor Who returns on April 23rd. From Alan Sepinwall's column.
