My boyfriend and I just finished watching season 1 of the new Doctor Who. What a fantastic show! I have no idea why I waited so long to watch this! Though to be honest, I didn't fall in love with the show until about the 6th episode. I enjoyed it up to that point, but didn't love it. However, I love, love, love Christopher Eccleston! I really hope I enjoy David Tenant as much as I did Christopher.

And then there's Matt Smith! I was surprised at how hard and fast I fell for Eleven.
he hasn't replaced my love for Tennant, but i do enjoy him.
That is the beauty of The Doctor - no matter who plays him, or what quirks he's got in a particular regeneration. It's perfectly fine to have one you feel is "your Doctor" but after a change or two, you begin to have faith that he is still The Doctor. I've only found one that I couldn't bear to watch, and that was Colin Baker (who probably wasn't bad, he was just written that way). As a fan from of old, it was somewhat frustrating and amusing at the same time to watch how adamantly all the new Eccleston fan-girls were going on about how there was no way Tennant could be any thing but a disaster, and they'd never love him... only to come around when they saw him in action.
Speaking of... anybody else earwormed with "triumph of romance and intellect over brute force and cynicism"?
I am now. But that's a fun earworm.
when i first decided i was going to watch Doctor Who after seeing my flist explode over it, i didn't even know he was an alien! so the shock of Eccleston regenerating to Tennant at the end of season one just about gutted me. i was living a sad, Doctor Who deprived existence before that.
also? i love Craig Ferguson. it's a shame he's taken.

love love love. SO much.
I know you didn't know, tiggy, but that really doesn't need to be whitefonted.
