The King of Cups expects a picnic. But this is not his birthday!

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

More epic Whovian cleverness.

The few comments are pretty darned cute too.

In rewatching the Who Christmas episode, I am loving the dialogue more than I could have imagined the first time around while I was watching for the plot.

"I am universally regarded as a mature adult." "Lie to big," finally shorted out the psychic paper! Bwah!!

"I'll be back. Way back. Way, waaay back." Awesome.

"Concentrating on the pluses."

"I've only got two goes and then it's your turn."

Oh, Show. I love you so.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Don't forget his comment about kissing the girl instead of inventing a new type of screwdriver!

That was priceless.

Plus, "Try and be all nervous, rubbish and a bit shaky." That way it will feel planned.

That is some sage advice right there.

I'm not sure if it was here, or in UnAmerican where folks said they thought Kathryn Jenkins role was limited because they didn't want to make the opera star act too much.

I dunno. I thought she did a pretty great job. No worse than Kylie, in my book.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I was highly amused at the Doctor accidentally getting engaged to Marilyn Monroe.

Yeah, Rose can't snag him, but queens and avatars-of-love-goddesses can.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Has Arthur Darvill (aka Rory) been in the main credits before? Because I cheered when I saw his name this last episode.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Has Arthur Darvill (aka Rory) been in the main credits before?

I did see that, and hadn't noticed before.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

This is a game I would much enjoy and never, ever get to play, due to lack of people to play it with: [link] (scroll down a bit)

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I just noticed that my Tivo wasn't planning to record the last 5 episodes of Caprica even though I still have it on Season Pass. (Airing January 4th) So if you're interested in the last episodes, you might want to check your Tivo! (Or you can always rent them since the DVD is already out.)
