A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Thanks, zuisa. It's killing me that I don't have the same kind of recall with FS by ep title as I do with BtVS. But I'm not sure I do for anything else either. Well, besides Firefly.

My BtVS title recall has horrified a lot of people. It's probably not as sharp as it once was, but yeah. I understand. I'm not as good with any other show.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It was like they'd sat down with a list of things I'd liked about the show, just so they could do the opposite of each one.

What frustrated me most about that trilogy was that it ended with John going, "I have a job to do out there," and striding dramatically in the sunlight in his sunglasses, and then--they got back to space, and NOTHING HAPPENED. They just dicked around for another six episodes or something, until Aeryn got kidnapped. It made me SO FRUSTRATED. ::grinds teeth::

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

He seemed a net minus for the crew, so I felt like he was kept around to amuse the audience, not for any strong in-universe rationale.

For me, he was that guy in the group who's part of the group because he's been around long enough that everyone knows he's an asshole but he's their asshole. I think to the original group of escapees, the fact that he'd been on Moya the longest carried a lot of weight.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

So, I only get 2 channels on my TV - The CW and Fox. So, I watched the 2 episodes of The Vampire Diaries that were on last night. I watched mostly because I know there is some love here, and my Buffy loving sister watches.

I do not get the appeal.

And he did occasionally add value. Not a lot, but frankly I found him easier to deal with than Rodney McKay sometimes, and much less hateful than Gaius Baltar. There is no reason for Baltar's survival to the end of BSG, none at all.

That was an unbelievably annoying part of the season.

I have Big! Important! Things! In Space! Followed by... Coup by Clam? Really?

[edit: Whoops, got my filler ep order mixed up. Twice Shy! Even more forgettable than CbC and not nearly as funny!]

What episodes were they? I am mostly unashamed about my love for that show, but I do admit that it took me quite a few episodes to get into. The Pilot episode, for instance, is kind of terrible.

It's one of my favorite shows that I'm watching right now, but it's definitely not ever going to into an all-time-favorite sort of slot. I just enjoy it a lot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't remember episodes in enough detail to point to one, but it seemed to me that Rygel got them in more hot water than he got them out of, and it never seemed clear he wouldn't cheerfully do it again.

I absolutely agree about Baltar. For me, Jayne is about as close to that line as you can tread, and I think that worked because Mal was just meaner and crazier than he was, and worked that chain of command.
