I don't remember - which one is 1.16? And who is Mark?

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
1x16 is "A Human Reaction", where John thinks he has found Earth, and then Rygel, D'Argo, and Aeryn follow him, and uh... bad stuff ensues.
Mark is of Mark Reads and we've been discussing his reviews of The Hunger Games in the literature thread. He has a very specific no-spoiler policy.
The Parts I and II of "Into the Lions Den" in Season 3 are just awesome in Farscape.
I remember watching one particular scene about 5 times before I could advance the video any further. The character's speech is absolutely killer, dramatic, and on point. I liked Farscape before that, but I had much love of the series after this 2-parter.
my lj has been severely neglected in the past year or so. makes me sad that i don't still post there. i love being able to go back through almost ten years of my life. lots of history there.
Thanks, zuisa. It's killing me that I don't have the same kind of recall with FS by ep title as I do with BtVS. But I'm not sure I do for anything else either. Well, besides Firefly.

My BtVS title recall has horrified a lot of people. It's probably not as sharp as it once was, but yeah. I understand. I'm not as good with any other show.
It was like they'd sat down with a list of things I'd liked about the show, just so they could do the opposite of each one.
What frustrated me most about that trilogy was that it ended with John going, "I have a job to do out there," and striding dramatically in the sunlight in his sunglasses, and then--they got back to space, and NOTHING HAPPENED. They just dicked around for another six episodes or something, until Aeryn got kidnapped. It made me SO FRUSTRATED. ::grinds teeth::
He seemed a net minus for the crew, so I felt like he was kept around to amuse the audience, not for any strong in-universe rationale.
For me, he was that guy in the group who's part of the group because he's been around long enough that everyone knows he's an asshole but he's their asshole. I think to the original group of escapees, the fact that he'd been on Moya the longest carried a lot of weight.
So, I only get 2 channels on my TV - The CW and Fox. So, I watched the 2 episodes of The Vampire Diaries that were on last night. I watched mostly because I know there is some love here, and my Buffy loving sister watches.
I do not get the appeal.

And he did occasionally add value. Not a lot, but frankly I found him easier to deal with than Rodney McKay sometimes, and much less hateful than Gaius Baltar. There is no reason for Baltar's survival to the end of BSG, none at all.
