Heh. Well, they're related to me, including my two sons, so kinda. But my brain went to an inappropriate place before ita's post - I was thinking of when Captain Jack is naked and pulls a gun he was hiding on him.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The two-parter from the Eccleston season with the farting aliens--kids would love that one.
That'd be a good one.
I was also thinking of "The Christmas Invasion", but with the Doctor MIA for more than half the episode, I worry they might get bored.
If they're into scary, the angel episodes are good. They might be less enamored of The Girl in the Fireplace than more "pretty dresses" oriented kids, but it does have a horse. They may be the prefect demographic for Scottish Ninja Monks and Werewolves.
I watched the first three episodes of Doctor Who.
I like it, I think? My question is, are there recurring characters of any sort of are the Doctor and Rose the only constant fixtures? (I know the Doctor and the companion changes, I haven't been living under a rock or anything) It seems so far that it is completely random people every week. Which is fine, I guess? I'll definitely a few more episodes at the very least, it is certainly fun.
Rose's mom and boyfriend make appearances somewhat often. You'll see them again in what should be your next episode ("Aliens of London" and "World War Three").
I used to dislike them both, but they grew on me.
eta: Oh yeah, and Captain Jack. He's in five (I think) season one episodes (counting two-parters as two episodes).
Mmm, Captain Jack.
There are also most defintely recurring baddies, or types of baddies, anyway.
Everytime I watch an episode of "Fringe" this season I hear Spike saying "Pacey you blind idiot" in my head, and I never even watched "Dawson's Creek".
I couldn't get to sleep last night so I watched this:
Matt Smith on The Late Show With Craig Ferguson
It was OK. I've decided Ferguson annoys me. Also, I've never seen Matt Smith out of character before - he looks like fun.
Apparently they did this elaborate song and dance involving Smith, the Dalek and other people/stuffed animals, but they were not allowed to broadcast it (copyright issues with the Dalek and BBC?) So they were all, "Maybe someone will post it on the internet nudge nudge wink wink."
