I thought it was pretty obvious that was going to happen since they made such a point of showing the hacksaw when that one guy knocked over the tools. But yeah, where would he go? If they could have gotten to another building, don't you think the others would have tried it before covering themselves in zombie guts and risking walking amongst them?
I wonder if Ferguson will spend the whole interview asking Smith variations of "Sci-fi nerds: aren't they weird?" like he did when Ben Browder was a guest?
Maybe he'll as a Dalek, "Humans - aren't we weird?"
Or they could send a Dalek to do "man in the street" interviews, a la Letterman.
