I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

Buffy ,'Get It Done'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I saw it and kind of enjoyed it. It established a Doctor who could be attracted to his companions.

And, of course, Sylvester McCoy.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I watched it. Hated the half-human retcon Fox tried to do with the Doctor's origin, Hated that they felt compelled to push an insta-romance with the new companion. Pointed and laughed at Eric Roberts' performance. But in the hands of capable writers I thought McGann would have made an excellent Doctor.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ooh, I forgot about that.

Hated that they felt compelled to push an insta-romance with the new companion

I kinda' remember that was controversial at the time.

But in the hands of capable writers I thought McGann would have made an excellent Doctor.

Yeah. Too bad for him.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Yeah, I've totally forgotten the details, but Paul McGann is awesome.

We also got a TARDIS that is less a mere mechanism and more a creature in its own right.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Really disliked that Doctor Who TV movie, but loved Paul McGann.

Hated the half-human retcon Fox tried to do with the Doctor's origin

That was such a mistake. I still keep expecting the BBC to go on to establish it as canon at some point.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

McGann is the only reason to watch it. I so wish he had gotten a chance at a better run as the Doctor. He was the Doctor who fought in the Time War. Eccelston was newly minted when his run began.

Art Crawl!!!

Have you heard any of the Eighth Doctor audioplays? I hear that they are very good but I haven't had a chance to listen to any of them.

No, I haven't heard any of them. I think I've heard of them and maybe even saw a link or recieved a link in an email. My memory is fuzzy.
