A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Another in io9's Introduction to SciFi series of posts (see the Movies thread for the post on top SciFi movies):
The top 20 essential science fiction TV shows
Unlike the movies post, most of these I haven't seen....
eta: Wait, I've seen more than half of these....
Those are harder, because I've seen some of them, but not all seasons, or know about them, but haven't actually seen them...
If we count partial viewings, I've seen 13 out of 20.
17
I, err, own one of the ones I haven't seen. I'll get to it.
Complete series, less than that but it would take more thought than I have in me to figure it out exactly.
I've watched some of 18 of those.
Huh.
I've watched all of 15.
Will acquire life posthaste. Any time now.
I've seen parts, if not all, of 19 (haven't seen any of Ghost in the Shell). Counting all episodes, it drops down to 12.
Of these 20 shows, seven I’ve seen only a few (or maybe one) episodes—-Blake’s 7, Farscape, Stargate SG-1, The Tick, Futurama, Babylon 5, and The X-Files. Three I’ve never seen-—Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and Fringe.
The other 10 I’ve been a big fan of for at least part of their runs, if not the entire series--V, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: Deep Space 9, Star Trek: Next Generation, Star Trek (the original series), Twilight Zone, The Prisoner, Max Headroom, Firefly, and Doctor Who.
I've seen 15 in part, some complete, a few I have undying love for.
I've seen some of 17, all of I think 13.
The ones I haven't seen have been by choice. Which is too bad, though I don't need another obsession.
I've seen at least some of 15 of those, but only 5 for the full run.
I'm guessing that no one here has seen every episode of
Doctor Who,
considering that some of the early episodes don't exist anymore....
